Do you take walk-ins, or do I need an appointment?
Both. Several KAZENTATTOO artists take walk-ins for small and medium pieces during opening hours, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM daily at 7224 Melrose Ave. Large custom projects with our senior artists are by appointment only and are usually booked out months in advance, so reach out early. Guest artists from other states and countries also work at the studio throughout the year.
How do I book, and is the consultation free?
Consultations are free — in person at the studio, by phone or text at (213) 393-7713, by WhatsApp, or online at kazentattoo.com/book. A deposit secures your session date and is credited toward the final price of the tattoo. We speak English, Russian and Serbian. After your tattoo has healed, your artist will do a free touch-up if they decide one is needed.
What are your hours?
KAZENTATTOO is open every day from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, including holidays. Sessions sometimes run later, but 8:00 PM is the closing time you can count on. A full-day session typically runs from noon to about 6:00 PM, occasionally 7:00 PM, with breaks included; schedules vary by artist.
What is the minimum age for a tattoo or a piercing?
You must be 18 or older for both tattoos and piercings at KAZENTATTOO — no exceptions and no parental-consent workaround. For tattoos this is California law; for piercings it is our studio policy. Please bring a valid photo ID.
Where do I park?
The studio doesn't have its own lot. There is street parking along Melrose Ave, plus a paid all-day parking lot diagonally across the street, behind the restaurant on the corner. Our storefront and entrance face Melrose Ave; the entrance is step-free and there is a wheelchair-accessible restroom inside.
Do you do piercings, and what jewelry do you use?
Yes. We pierce ears — lobe and cartilage (helix, conch, daith, flat, rook, tragus) — as well as nostril, eyebrow, navel, lips and nipples. Titanium jewelry is included with every piercing. Aftercare follows Association of Professional Piercers guidance: clean only with sterile saline wound wash; no alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, antibacterial soap or iodine, and don't twist the jewelry. Can you cover up or rework an old tattoo?
Yes — cover-ups and reworking tattoos done elsewhere are a regular part of our work, including tattoos over scars. Bring a clear photo of the existing piece to a free consultation and the artist will tell you what is realistic. If a design needs the old ink lightened first, we can refer you for laser sessions (we don't have a laser in-house). More at kazentattoo.com/cover-up-tattoo-los-angeles.
What payment methods do you accept, and do you sell gift certificates?
We accept credit and debit cards, cash, Apple Pay and Google Pay, Zelle and bank transfers. Gift certificates are available — ask at the studio or email kazentattoousa@gmail.com. A deposit is required to lock in a session date and goes toward your final total.
